About Telemetry

Empty

Telemetry allows data collected from the vehicle on track to be viewed in real time at a fixed location such as a pit garage. The data is sent via a radio transmitter in the vehicle to a radio receiver which is connected to a PC. The data engineer can monitor the engine and chassis data while the vehicle is still on the track. This provides the possibility to detect early signs of problems and warn the driver or prepare for set up adjustments or repairs during the next pit stop.

Software

The MoTeC Telemetry Monitor software is used for viewing the transmitted data. This software is highly flexible allowing the data to be shown in many different ways. It also allows the data to be analysed in the i2 data analysis software while the vehicle is on the track.
