  • 10/Aug/2011 Impressive Podium Finish at World Time Attack

Congratulations to South Australian MoTeC Dealer, Simon Podlewski from Morpowa, for taking 2nd place in the Open Class at the World Time Attack Challenge last weekend at Eastern Creek Raceway (NSW, Australia).

With a fastest lap time of 1:35.7, Simon's Nissan 180SX trumped 55 other entrants in the spectacular Open Class over two days of competition, and there's no doubt the car has even greater potential.

The Morpowa RWD Nissan runs a Toyota 2JZ 3ltr turbo with a MoTeC M800 ECU and SDL Dash Logger with GPS. The car was fitted with an electronic throttle specially for this event in order to run Drive by Wire Traction Control through the MoTeC ECU. Traction Control is part of MoTeC's Advanced Functions upgrade and can be enabled in the field at any time.

Well done to all MoTeC-equipped competitors who took part in the World Time Attack event, including the Garage Revolution team who finished in 3rd place in the invite-only Pro Class with their RX7 and the Tilton Interiors Mitsubishi Evo team who followed up in 4th. We're proud to be on board your cars and we hope to see you all next year!
