MoTeC is pleased to announce the availability of the CAN based Shift Light Module or SLM. The MoTeC Shift light module contains 8 general purpose, full colored (RGB) LEDs that can be used for Shift lights, Warning Lights or other functions. The SLM is connected to MoTeC displays, logging devices and ECUs via CAN communications, which means that you don’t use up your auxiliary outputs running lights.
Each LED is fully independent as to the purpose and the same light can be used for multiple functions.
Color and intensity can be controlled independently and/or as a set of patterns defined in a priority order. That way, for example, a warning light can override a shift light.The SLM can be controlled from an ADL2, ACL, SDL or hundred series ECU. All of these have special programming functions for the SLM, so it is no longer necessary to assign a single light to each output. This allows outputs to be used for other functions while providing greater flexibility in using the available LEDs.
